You may have old bandanas in the bottom of your drawers or some scrap fabrics. And it is a shame because they are surely very beautiful and recycling them is very easy. They can be used in many ways, but this one remains among our favorites. It is a matter of making a colored bowl for crisps or other snacks. Practical and pretty, this little tinkering will bring a touch of originality to your table and a little color by the same time.
What you will need:
- A pencil
- Salad bowl
- Cling film
1) Use your pen or felt to draw the contours of your bowl on your bandana. The larger the bowl you use, the bigger the container will be. Cut the outline with your scissors.
2) In a bowl mix equal measures of pva glue and water
3)Soak the fabric in the bowl. Then place cling film over another upside down bowl. Place the fabric ontop of the bowl smoothing down any creases
4) Leave to dry over night so that it becomes rigid. Thicker fabrics will take longer
5)Gently remove them from the bowls, add a paper towl and fill with your crisps, sweets etc.
