When we want to add decoration to a party, balloons are the go to decor item. A classic which is available in different colours, shapes, sizes and even singing ones. They are perfect to add some fun for kids who like to play with them at a party and adults who like them for decor as a pop of colour. They are impressive when they are floating on the ceiling. Here is how you can get your balloons to float on the ceiling without the use of glue, tape or helium!
What you will need:
- A new blow up balloon
Method:
1) Blow up a balloon like normal and tie a knot.
2) Rub it against your hair or a woolly jumper.
3) Stand on a chair and place it against the ceiling or wall to stay in place
It will not stay in place forever, but it is a perfect way to test and show kids the power of static electricity. Use this trick at the last moment for the effect to last during the start of the party. Then it is fun as they float down whilst you are dancing below as the static electricity has gone.
