It could be difficult to choose between a nice lawn that the children can play on, and having the space for a pool. An Israeli engineer, Gil Kar, found a way to make the best of both worlds.
His idea is simple but ingenious. In 2013, he installed his lawn on a sliding platform that hides a swimming pool underneath it. The result: he can enjoy the lawn with his family as he pleases, but in the blink of an eye, he only has to press a button to unveil the swimming pool! Not 100 miles from James Bond territory, but this construction is anything but fiction!
